Passive Income

I have discovered a handful of new sites that can help you earn residual and passive income. Remember, if you add one in a comment or message one to me I will give you props for the list item with a linkback to your site. Thanks Reed for letting me know about Bukisa.

This week I have added a few more article posting sites and a handful more of the Envato Network sites. The list grows:

So this brings the total of the residual income list to ten total ways of making passive and residual income. Lets keep adding to the list and please if you know of something not on this list let me know and I will add it and in return you get a link to your site. Cheers!

dollabillMy first year of dibbling in passive income is near an end, even though I have only been publicly blabbing my mouth with this blog for a few weeks, I have had an actual monthly revenue of income trickling in for almost 12 months. I am about to let you all in on a little secret, my story starts back in February of 2008, the day I got my first drop of passive income.

It was a usual day of being a freelance hero. I was sitting at my desk reading some blogs much like you are doing right now, when I went to the old trusty browser and loaded up my email. ‘You have been invited to beta test our network’ the email read. Apparently I was chosen to be a part of the GraphicRiver.net pre-release. I was allowed to setup an account and get a jump-start before the site went public. This would allow me to build a portfolio and setup shop so when the curtains dropped I would be able to start making some money.

Fill your tank with the right gas.

I did some browsing of the site, and I saw one fatal mistake that 90% of the users were making. They were all uploading every little graphic they have ever made, nothing that could universally used throughout the design world. I went with the opposite, I sat down and created a Web 2.0 Background Designer, a simple,

Needing to give the ResidualBacon some love I have added a handful of sites to The List to help build it. I am hoping over the passing months we can get this list nice and lengthy. This list will give readers a nice place where they have an overview of different sites with a wide variety of options to earn a passive income. We all know that diversifying the passive income we earn can help a steady income from them.

The items added on the list today are mainly the most well known. I am still constantly searching and have more to put up but was hoping to review them first. The items that made this list this growth spurt are:

  • E-Junkie
  • Google Adsense
  • ClickBank
  • eHow

I also have a new idea to add. If you know of a source of residual and passive income not on The List by all means please support the RB and share the information. I will give you props in both an update post to list growth, as well as add a Submitted By (your name & website) to ‘The List’ itself. Giving you some nice link-backs as a thank you for helping me.

There are plenty of ways to earn passive incomes out there, and different people find success in certain areas. Lets help everyone out by making this list nice and large. Once the list grows enough I will break it down into sub-categories, like Micro-Stock Sites, Article Posting Sites, Advertising Sites, etc.

Hope these new list items help new comers and old comers alike. Cheers & Happy Holidays to everyone from the RB!

money goalsSo the New Year is just around the corner. It is time to stop and enjoy some time with the family, tell the wife or husband you love them as well as think about the year to come. This is a great time to reflect on last years accomplishments and set youself in the right direction for the upcoming year. Time to set some goals and stategize on how you are going to be accomplishing what you wish before next time this year, but what makes a goal a good goal?

Good, Great, GOAL!

It is not hard to just come up with a goal. It is quite easy as a matter of fact. You can come up with them all day long, but lets pick one apart, in fact, lets pick my goal apart. “I wan’t to make $1,000 dollars of residual income each month.” So we have our goal, but is it realistic? Is it measurable? Here are a handful of key terms that come to mind when goal setting:

  • Written
  • Challenging
  • believable
  • specific
  • Measurable
  • & Have a Specific Deadline

I think these terms sum up a goal rather well, but you do not necasarilly need all of them to make a goal a good goal. Some of the terms like believable and challenging are relative terms

Graphic RIver ImageResidual incomes can be made in many different ways on the internet, you just have to find out which ways work for yourself. If you are a graphic designer and like to tinker with graphics then GraphicRiver.net is right up your alley. Graphic river is a micro stock site that lets you sale your own designs and design templates on their marketplace. Whether you just created a fancy business card that you would like to sale or maybe you created a background maker that can help other designers with their mock ups, GraphicRiver.net can help you make a little extra money each month.

How it works:

You have the graphics, they have the marketplace to expose your work. Its that simple. You become a member to their site, you have to pass a simple little test that gives you the lowdown on making sure that you content is simply that: your own. You are not allowed to have made items from templates on the internet, everything has to be created by you, this way they can’t get sued for copyright infringement and you can avoid a nice long legal battle. After you are a member you submit files for
